Home Page for Dr. Wendy Maboudian
Hi there! Welcome to Houston Community College.
I am very happy to be part of this college because I get to do something I really love to do...teach HCCS students. If you aren't one of our students yet, go to our homepage at http://www.hccs.edu and click on STUDENTS. We have a catalog with certification programs and degree programs that will meet your academic and career needs.
I teach Intensive English at Southeast College. If you want to know my background, scroll to the bottom of this page where I talk about myself. But first, let's talk about you. What do you want to find at HCCS? If you are looking for faculty in a particular department, go to the campus you want at http://www.hccs.edu and look at the program information. Or, if you need more assistance about ESL, you can call or email me, or call our office - 713.718.7204.

Dr. Maboudian's bio:
I have taught ESL over the past 25 years in the Middle East and the United States. I have taught students of all ages. My courses have prepared students for business communication, multipurpose workforce training, and, of course, academic success in schools and higher education. I have taught in universities, community colleges, language institutes, embassies and industry.
My work has included training and development, instructional design and adult learning methodology. Team building and business communication, plus multimedia design for online learning environments have been a big part of my work in the multinational workforce of today's industry and in my work at the University of Houston.
In my graduate work in multicultural studies, I looked at education and global influences. During my doctoral studies in education, I researched education and gender issues in technology using semiotic and ethnographic research methods. The status of women and our cultural roles form the lenses through which we look at our world.
Currently, I am examining instructional design for global access and culture in visual and other representation in online learning environments.
