GOVERNMENT 2302: American Government: National, State, and Local II

On Campus Meetings: No on-campus meetings are required for this course. Everything is done online, including tests.

 

Description of course: A study of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government at both the national and state levels; economic and regulatory policy; social policy; civil liberties and civil rights policy; and foreign policy. This is a Core Curriculum Course.

 

Credit: 3 (3 Lecture).

 

Prerequisites: You must be placed into college-level reading and college-level writing.

 

Internet, Hardware, and Software: You MUST have regular access to a computer with a modem (PC: Intel Pentium class computer with 56.k modem speed connection, Microsoft Windows 9x, ME, 2000 or XP operating systems or Macintosh: G3 with 56.k modem speed connection. Mac OS 9.X to 10.1.),
an Internet Service Provider (ISP), and a browser (Internet Explorer 5.00 or higher or Netscape 6.2 or higher or AOL 7.0). JavaScript must be enabled for all of these browsers.

 

You must be familiar with using the Internet, using links, sending and opening Microsoft Word attachments and sending e-mails.
