2301 WGS Description
Government 2301 is one of the two courses designed to introduce students to the politics of national, state, and local government. Government 2301 and 2302 are fully transferable to other colleges and universities. This section of Government 2302 is part of the HCCS Women and Gender Studies Certificate Program. For those of you not in that program, this course will count as any other Government 2301 course.
Government 2301 is a study of theories of American democracy and other ideologies, U.S. and Texas Constitutions, federalism, state and local government, political socialization, public opinion, the media, interest groups, political parties and elections.
This is a core curriculum course.
