Andy's Home Page
| I
generally teach American History 1301, usually Second Start, Distance Education
- but I also do 1302 and First and Second Eight classes. The links
below should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect in my courses.
Usually, students who put in a solid effort leave my course with an "A"
or a "B" - it's that "solid effort" part that's important! |
| In a nutshell:
|
| - | You
read the textbook and take 4 online, open-book, multiple choice exams |
| - | There
are two outside "Readers" and two simple Reader papers |
| - | There
are weekly "Chapter Essays" to submit |
| - | There
is an on-campus "live" Final Exam |
| - | The
Final Exam is made up from the Chapter Essay questions (so you'll know the questions
in advance) | | - | There
are Public Forum discussions, Towne Meetings (Chat), and Student Collaborations
- all optional but all count for extra credit. |
| - | First
and Second Eight classes are self-directed, that is, the student sets their own
schedule for submitting assignments. | |
| I hope to "see"
you in my on-line class - I look forward to working with you this semester. |
