ENVR 1301 Environmental Science
Study of natural resources, energy, pollution, and natural disasters. Core Curriculum
Course. (Formerly GEOL 1305) Note: ENVR 1301 and ENVR 1401 cannot both be taken
for credit toward certificate or degree requirements.
GEOL 1346 Introduction to
Astronomy An introduction to astronomy, emphasizing the physical
laws governing the solar system, the study of the planets and of the stars. Core
Curriculum Course.
GEOL 1347 Meteorology
The study of basic principles of weather and climate and the pervasive effects
of weather conditions on daily lives, commerce, agriculture, urban planning and
other human activity. The course offers basic scientific theory with applications
familiar to the student.
GEOL 1403 Physcical Geology
Study of the nature of the earth, including the physical processes operating on
and inside the earth. Laboratory includes the study of rocks, minerals, and topographic
maps. Core Curriculum Course.
